5 Random Things. Christmas Cards. Craft Fair.

This layout is for Amy Tan(gerine)'s challenge in the last newsletter. It was super fun, and you all should try it!! :) The journaling reads:
"1. I get obsessed with a particular food and eat it everyday for months until I hate it. Right now the food is chicken biscuits from Chick-fil-A.
2. I am not even reasonably physically flexible. I almost failed a sports physical because of my inflexibility.
3. My boyfriend has over 75 stickers on his car.
4. In the same year, my dog bit me in the mouth and I got hit in the mouth with a tennis racket. Age six was not so great of a year for my face.
5. The last time I changed phones, I deleted 9 Micheals from my phonebook. I currently only have two." A huge thank you to Lucy for the flower tutorial in the SIStv newsletter. Check it out to learn how to make these super cute flowers! :)

In other news, I went to the Foothill's craft fair earlier today, and holy crap it was so much fun. I spent entirely too much money. :) There was a woman spinning this beautiful yarn, which immediately reminded me of Jen Geigley, and I asked her if I could take a picture of it. So this picture is for you J. Master. Gigs. But seriously, isn't it beautiful? Plus, some of them have seaweed in them, wouldn't that make you feel so indie and cool? ;)

Christmas Tip and LG Chocolate Touch

Scrapbooking doesn't always have to be expensive...
Anyone have that super cute "Love Notes" line from Making Memories? It doubles PERFECTLY as Christmas paper. (Just get it out and try to make a Christmas card with it... easy!)

Today I bought the LG Chocolate Touch from Verizon, and oh my yummy. Isn't she cute? And surprisingly easy to text on. :)
Craftiness soon, I pinky promise. I have a layout and two cards to show you. Also, check out this week's SIStv newsletter. It has an awesome tutorial from Lucy, and a fun challenge from Amy Tangerine. I've used lucy's tutorial twice already this week, and Amy's challenge is SO fun.

Tomorrow I'm going to class, and then going to the "Foothills" craft show. My nana will be in it with all her class, and I can't wait to see a few people that I normally see in TACA (in Nashville). I couldn't go to TACA this year! I'll make sure to take pictures! :) Have a fabulous weekend!

Beveled Necklace

So my nana makes beautiful beveled glass and today I was playing around on SIStv and found a webisode that I had never watched before on making necklaces. So I used a similar technique to make a simple beveled glass necklace, with Nana's help. :)
I'm pretty proud of myself for this one! :)

Catalyst 86, Soccer Photoshoot, and "The Sampler" Design Team

So I played along with the Creative Therapy catalyst this week. The prompt was to "write a letter to your younger self". Which reminded me of the song "Letter to Me" by Brad Paisley. I used the lyrics for the title and journaling. :) I also found that "authentic beauty" die cut from Crate Paper. It is something I would never usually use, but I felt like it worked perfectly.

Brian has been playing intramural soccer, and it's been fun. Well, fun to photograph at least. Teehee. ;)Also for some good news that most of you already know: I have been chosen to be on Scrapbooking R Us's "The Sampler" kit club design team. I'm so excited for the first kit to come out. :) Check out their blog right here.
